Dragon Ball Kai to be Released in May?
February 2, 2010 in Dragon Ball Anime, Dragon Ball Kai, Dragonball Z by avenged
Rumors have been going around that FUNimation will release Dragon Ball “Z” Kai sometime in May. Wal-mart is now listing a release date for the DVD and Blu-ray of May 18 2010. So it would appear this has been in development with FUNimation long before they announced it. You can pre-order the first season from Wal-mart at a price of $42.48.

Hmm.. Seems that interest in Dragonball is being reborn. An official website just popped up for it from FUNi, dragonballzkai.com
This may mean a sequel is in the works for DBE, after all. One could only guess…

Are you serious? Be honest with your self. This goes for anyone who sees this comment. Do you think Dragonball Evolution deserves a sequel? Was it so well liked and made so much money back that it truly deserves one? Obviousley it wasn’t liked by anywhere but on this website because all you guys do is anticipate a sequel. Go on any website and look at this movies reviews. Do the critics give it rave reviews, asking fo a second helping of Chatwins putrid acting and funny faces? Its ridiculous. Honestly does Super Mario Bros. deserve a sequel? How about the Street Fighter remake? Are people anywhere clammoring for a sequel? It’s the same old story one person who dislikes this movie finds himself in a place where a small clique of people will defend it at any costs. Just think to yourself what it did. It ruined Dragon Ball for anyone who went to go see it and didn’t have a clue what the hell it was about, and it killed a lot of the fanbase. There is a reason you guys are the only site that has news about a sequel. Well good luck with it. One things for sure the moment a sequel to this garbage is given a sequel I will personally burn everything Dragon Ball that I own

You will burn all your DB merch if a sequel to Evolution releases? Let me guess, the only thing that you own that’s even remotely Dragon Ball related is a taped recording of a few episodes in very bad quality? If not then I don’t see the reason why you would burn something you supposely care a lot about. Especially when it is non canon and has no connections to the original manga aside from being loosely BASED ON IT. Even Akira Toriyama told us to treat it like a new dimension in the DB universe.
“As the original creator, I had a feeling of “Huh?” upon seeing the screenplay and the character designs, but the director, all the actors, the staff, and the rest are nothing but “ultra” high-caliber people. Maybe the right way for me and all the fans to appreciate it is as a New Dragon Ball of a different dimension. Perhaps, this might become a great masterpiece of power! Hey, I look forward to it!!”
