Enter Bay has finally revealed their custom made action figures for Dragonball Evolution. They revealed Goku (Justin Chatwin) and Piccolo (James Marsters). Note that these are “in process” so they may not be the final look.
Seems this figure of Goku looks more like the anime version Goku than he did in the film, maybe because of the black hair? Anyways, if more are revealed we will post them here.

Walmart is now listing the first season of Dragon Ball digitally remastered with a set release date of September 15, 2009. RightStuff also now lists Season One remastered/uncut with a note of it being hybrid (having both Japanese and English audio). The listed price is $49.98.
FUNimation also just recently updated their twitter account saying…
At Anime Expo 2009, we’ll FINALLY be able to announce a release that you know about already!
It is pretty obvious they are talking about Dragon Ball Remastered. So it seems FUNimation now has the entire rights to distribute all of DB. And to top it off, the official box cover art for the first season has been revealed (shown to the right).

Rumors are going around that the Dragonball Evolution film will be reset and will have another planned trilogy. I first got this inside tip from FOX myself and now HoyCinema reports this to be confirmed.
After the U.S. producers experienced a major failure with the signing of Dragon Ball: Evolution, we get information from our correspondents in Miami that Dragon Ball will be restarted and not only that, but also confirmed a forthcoming trilogy.
Such confirmation said the spokesman for 20th Century Fox, Abraham Sullivan :
“If we have another movie (Dragon Ball), we are currently discussing the resumption of the trilogy” Sullivan said our correspondent.
“The only problems we have are the scripts are not finished yet and will be reviewed by our executives, as well as walk in the search for a new director to make such delivery” said the spokesman for the Fox.”
I will still only take this as rumor as of now. But if true, then hopefully the deal about a new director is also true. 20th Century FOX will still distribute the film and the casting is unknown at this point.
UPDATE : Hoy Cinema has admitted that the claim they made about a reboot was false. No matter how pathetic this was as an attempt for visits or whatever, it still doesn’t excuse the fact that a reboot is still possible. We can only wait and see what plans FOX has for the live action Dragon Ball series. Anyways, this just further proves we can never trust anything from that site and should take any rumor out there as false until proven otherwise. And the only reason I posted this rumor was due to inside information that may later be revealed.

That’s right! Well according to James Marsters that is.
In a recent interview with James (Lord Piccolo), he mentions towards the end that he can actually tell that there is going to be a sequel. Here’s the portion of the interview where he mentions the sequel. (Note that this interview was published in the June edition of a German magazine entitled “Nautilus“, so yes it is new.)
In Spring and Summer, I’m on tour in Europe. Check for dates and ticket on www.jamesmarsters.com. And then we’ll start shooting the second Dragonball movie. (grins) I’ve just heard that I can actually tell that there is going to be a sequel.
So, according to James…the sequel to Dragonball Evolution (Dragonball Reborn “pending title”) will begin filming sometime after Summer of this year. Hopefully we will get more info on this. A single actor confirming the sequel is not enough for me just yet.

UPDATE – According to his official site, James Marsters just got back from touring in Europe. This could mean filming for the sequel to Dragonball Evolution will begin shortly. Let’s just hope we hear some actual confirmation on this very soon. But when that first piece of sequel media hits, you’ll find it here.
And as a reminder, James Marsters will yet again be attending Dragon Con this year. It starts September 4th.

Ok, let’s take this as only rumor since the only source I could currently find was on a DragonBall wikipedia and a few other forums. But it seems FUNimation has plans to release the entire Dragon Ball era into remastered box sets as they did with Z and GT. Here are the supposed release dates for each season.
| Season | Planned release | Saga(s) |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon Ball: Season 1 | September 2009 | Emperor Pilaf and Tournament |
| Dragon Ball: Season 2 | November 2009 – February 2010 | Red Ribbon Army and General Blue |
| Dragon Ball: Season 3 | February 2010 – May 2010 | Commander Red and Fortuneteller Baba |
| Dragon Ball: Season 4 | May 2010 – September 2010 | Tien Shinhan and King Piccolo |
| Dragon Ball: Season 5 | September 2010 – November 2010 | Piccolo Junior |
Ok, this comes from the DragonBall Wikipedia. I will post more if I come across a better source and official confirmation.
