Ok, so there has been quite a bit of small news tidbits (especially rumors) concerning the movie. So I decided to wait until enough pop up for one decent update.
First off, trailer rumors. I’d first like to give notice to DBthemovie.com user, Kaypain, for giving some details out of the official trailer. This user has supposely seen the actual trailer through his work’s movie previewing privilage. Here is what he stated will be in the trailer. (note this is just a summary of his own words)
- Piccolo, Goku, Bulma and Roshi will speak.
- Funny scene with Roshi and Bulma.
- Quick shots of Goku fighting Piccolo.
- Grandpa Gohan makes a cameo.
- A few school shots.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see if this is true since Iam guessing some kind of footage could get leaked.
But on the same note, more trailer rumors.
Dragonballmovieblog.net has claimed they have a FOX source themselves and got a little bit of info concerning the trailer. It seems we may have to wait a little longer (if this info is true) to witness the official Dragonball movie trailer.
We had hoped to finish it in time for that delivery but it looks like it may be debuting later now. Still waiting to hear for sure.
I will try and clarify this myself with FOX and let you guys know whats up.
UPDATE – FOX has confirmed to me that this is in fact TRUE. We will not be seeing the trailer on 12/12. Januray 2009 is the next targeted date.
And now, some other small bits of news.
Emmy Rossum has updated her blog recently from Tokyo where she states she was on the plane with Justin Chatwin. Now there are rumors Justin Chatwin will make an appearance at the DB movie panel at Jump Festa. So, this latest post from Emmy could mean she might make an appearance there as well. We will keep you posted on this.
Also, take a look at these Dragonball movie bearbrick toys. Piccolo and Goku…
These will be shown at Jump Festa and given out for those that pre-ordered tickets to this event. Note that this event will show clips from the actual Dragonball movie on December 20th 2008. So, look forward to leaked clips fairly soon.

Regardless of delays and/or speculation about the movie sucking, I am still going to watch it with my sister. We’re excited about it, purely for the anticipation of the action scenes. Screw the messed-up storyline, you can’t cram a series as long as Dragonball into a single movie without missing-out on details and characters! That’s what happened with DeathNote, characters that didn’t help move the plot or where not seen as a popular figure do not get put into the films, or don’t earn enough airtime.
And to be honest, Justin makes a cute Goku. Can’t wait to see him pull off Mr. Son’s moves! :3

Avenged is right!! The movie is Alive and well….
It’s all up to FOX if they want to make this movie epic.
It shouldn’t be that freakin’ hard because there a big company!!
This is there #1 most anticipated movie of 2009 and there not acting like it.
This movie can put them back to #1 it’s all up to them….
They need to show us amazing CGI and special effects. While giving us fans

Show us a preview of Vegeta and Nappa’s space pod at the end so it can have people wanting more of Dragonball!!!!
It is not that freakin’ hard to make this movie EPIC!!!!
You guys have the tools and Man power to do it

this sucks with a passion, Idk what the hell they were thinking how hard can this movie have been stay true to the story line use the best of effects and have great fighting scenes with people who were in and look like the characters and lasted 120 mintues
And surpisngly they got none of that right, BS is what this movie is
