Update from FOX and Trailer Information

Ok, let me first apologize for the removal of the Dragonball movie trailers, but it had to be done for the time being. But I recently received a welcoming email from FOX staff concerning the trailer that was shown and the full blown trailer that is officially still being worked on. It has pretty much been confirmed that it will not be shown during Max Payne, although that was their original intentions. Read below for the email sent to me to clear anything up.
First off, we love your enthusiasm for the film. We are so sorry to ask that you remove the content. It is not meant to irritate or discourage you and your readers from following this film campaign. It’s just that the pieces of content that are being leaked were not created to be used this way. They were only meant to be shown to potential Licensing & Merchandising partners who need to make partnering decisions far in advance of release date, and the content has not been approved for online use. Elements like music clearances and even talent approvals have not been pursued because we had no intention of having this go online. Alot goes into a trailer or video being authorized for online use….
We had hoped to have a really kick-ass trailer done by MAX PAYNE’s in-theater date, but because alot of effects shots are still being worked on – we’ve decided to wait until there is more material to work with, so we can really “wow” you and the fans. This is not uncommon for a film that still has 6 months until it goes in theaters. It looks like the real trailer will be released a little later in the year.
Again, thanks for all your interest. I am happy to update you when we get new artwork and approved video to distribute. We appreciate you removing the content, and don’t mean to cause you any headaches with your readers
The only reason I posted this email was to inform you guys about the current progress on the actual trailer.
No trailer during Max Payne?? I feel like crying for some reason, but I understand!! They have to do the special effects. Fox seems pretty nice! It’s good to know they care about the fans. I liked when they said there going to make a kick a** trailer. That got me real excited!! I can’t wait to see the real trailer, It’s probably going to be out of this world.

Yeah I was hoping for it to be released with Max Payne as well, but hey atleast we know it will be better than what we have seen. But a DB movie trailer releasing around Christmas time seems promising.

I think that fox leaked the sound trailer to see the reaction of the fans and see if they need change thing to the film/trialer
FOX know that this film will suck and try to put excuses like “we need moar effect” to say it gona kick ass

DBLAM SUCKS, it ruins the DB franchise.. Justin chatwin has ruined everything about goku, piccolo looks so epically terrible.. he looks like palepatine from startwars.. Goku going to highschool?? are you kidding me?? you all have NO right to call yourself DB fans EVER by supporting this abomination. If u are to stupid to see that this movie has ruined fox then your opinions dont matter to a true DB fan. This movie is the biggest insult that anyone could do to DB. Fox doesnt care at all about DB, we all know they saw DB JUST as a business opportunity and didnt care if they ruined it in the process, they just want a cheap buck and thats how they saw DB. it seems more like a disney movie, goku goes to highschool. he looks nothing like the actual goku (same for EVERY actor). Not to mention the trailer was the most pathetic low budget piece of sh*t that true DB fans have ever seen and will admit it. there is no f-ing prophecy in DB , what a dumbass to say that.. how far can they go from the original series??? I would never relate this movie to the actual DB , that i grew up to love. In fact , I have began looking for the similarites between this movie and the actual manga instead of differences. Cause there is FOR SURE more differences then similarities, the ONLY similiarity is the name. If you can name 5 GOOD similarities, ill admit this movie will only suck major balls. And if you think im the only one who feels this way, you are wrong. there is millions of loyal fans to DB who hate it just as much as i do, and have made a protest which I signed and suggest you all sign so no more piece of shit DBZ/GT-lam come out and ruin the entire series even more. Everything i said is true and you all know it, well if you are true DB fans. I have to agree with DBLAM! This movie is a discrace to everything remotly related to Dragonball! This is horrible! The only hope for this movie would be if it was trashed then sredone with a True DB Fan as the director someone who has seen the show! This is just terrible. Its acctually really hard to describe how I feel about this in words cause there is just no words to describe how shitty I feel to see this happen to a show/anime that taught me soo much, and that i grew up watching. I have seen the show from DBZ to DBGT and I never missed an episode! How could this happen to Dragonball? I mean they have said in many comercials and magazines that Dragonball Dragonball Z And GT were the best action cartoon seris EVER MADE!!!!!!!! The best action anime OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!! I could have had some gigantic rant to describe how I felt after watching that fail of trailer but how about we just cut to the chase…WTF did that have to do with Dragon Ball? Que onda mi FOX, dices que este trailer no es el de la pelicula, y que bueno que lo aclaras ya que se me hace que no va de acuerdo a la history, acuerdate del abuelito de Goku, de la muerte del abuelito de goku, cuando fue aplastado por el mismo Goku porque se convirtio en Gorilla, bueno para que te cuento mas si sabes que esta serie la han pasado en TV desde hace ya mucho tiempo, hechale ganas my FOX yo se que pueden hacer algo mejor.

Realmente tan larga la hacen, deberian de decir cuando sale el trailler; que no salga el cerdito y puah, lo entiendo, que lo hagan a partir de DBZ, lo entiendo pero que cambien los personajes y hagan que Goku este estudiando cuando en el anime no era asi, que cambien la historia de la pelicula, no pueden cambiar en cosas esenciales; me sorprende de igual manera que no este Krillin, que era su mejor amigo de Goku, hay cosas que las considero inconsebibles.
Espero que no hayga muchos cambios.

Sorry but anyone that posts the petition and flames the movie 100% is not a fan in my book. Ok you want the movie stopped because you think it’ll affect the anime, if anything it will but for the better. It will flock old/new fans back to the anime. They will most likely air the entire series again on TV. Either way, why try and ruin it for the people that want to see this movie? That doesn’t make any sense. You should learn that it is 100% NONCANON to the series. Akira made new additions to the Dragonball Z era, I suggest just to wait for that.

OK. I’m not gonna say I’m an absolute dragonball fan, but I will say I have watched all of db/z/gt, I don’t like the thought of goku being in high-school, reason being he had the mentality of a 3rd grader in the dragonball anime. But I can deal with that, because if you show me an 8 year old that knows karate, & will actually listen to directions during filming you got the new goku. I can’t say I’m gonna line up to watch the movie. If anything Ill probably just sit at home watching TV over going to the theater its much cheaper. even after seeing the trailer, I would have to say it perked my interest, just because its not gonna be your run of the mill martial arts movie. (Steven Seagal is getting old)
