New info on the Dragonball Z special
According to Weekly Jump, the new Dragonball Z anime special (beta title-Yo! Son Goku and his friends return!) will premiere during the start of the tour on September 21st. It is Weekly Jump’s 40th anniversary and the anime tour will make a route of 10 different locations in Japan.
The DBZ anime special is said to set exactly after the death of Kid Buu. It will be Akira’s view on what should occur after the events of Dragonball Z aside from Dragonball GT. And just as a reminder, the new characters have been revealed. The new Saiyan will be known as Table.

The dragonball, dragonball z and dragonball gt is just great… My friends and I love it. The fighting, funnies and the enemies. The dragonball series should continued from dragonball gt. They author should have another set of dragonball series. He’ll be filthy rich. He sould have one set of series based on the returned of Goku and vegeta, because another world treath is approahing and his future generation needs their help. I am also a dreaming writer, someday i’ll be an author write great book like Dragonball.

No, GT is not akira toriyama. It’s another aurthor, and I don’t consider it part of dragonball, and dragonball z. It’s somebody eles and I don’t even acknowledge it.

@ Jadix - Its true that GT is considered non canon, as are the movies. And I believe Akira had a little bit to do with GT, but maybe only like 5%. And this special isn’t going to be an addition to the series, but an official canoned special like History of Trunks and Bardock : Father of Goku.

Do you think Akira’s using this special as an excuse to start a new series?? It would be awesome if he did. Hopefully, it gets dubbed in English before too long.

how can u say that Dragon Ball GT isnt part of DragonBall?…thats insane…like avenged said Akira did have something to do with it (look it up), maybe not as much as all of us wouldve wanted to, maybe not a main part in the production but some of his own ideas were incorporated into the DragonBall Z series sequel, and i dont care if The Muffin Man made GT, it was still epic and not too far off Akira’s DragonBall and DragonBallZ manga…plus a real DragonBall fan would appreciate and “awknoledge” every DragonBall animation… until the anime starts looking like Looney Toons i wouldnt worry about whos makin it and just enjoy the show, plus what was so bad about Toei Animation’s GT series?…it looked like good ol’ DragonBall animation to me..same style…nothing changed.

I don’t care either. It looks the same to me. Just wish the new one (which i hope is true) comes out. I’ve played the wii game and it is fun exept there is character that were just made for that game. (mostly great apes)
