Dragon Ball Kai to include Android and Buu Sagas

February 4th, 2010

According to Kanzentai and Happinet, Dragon Ball Kai will have a total of 99 planned episodes. Seeing how the Freeza arc will end around episode 50, it is safe to assume the Android and Buu sagas will be included in Dragon Ball Kai. This basically debunks a recent rumor saying DB Kai will end after the Freeza saga.

Dragon Ball Z Kai Official Website

February 3rd, 2010

The official Dragon Ball Z Kai website has now opened its doors. But for now, FUNimation only has a teaser confirming (yet again) we will see DB Kai this Spring outside Japan. The domain for this website was created December 2009, so we can only guess FUNimation has been working behind the scenes since then. There are also other reports saying DBZ Kai will be re-dubbed with the same voice cast used before (according to the Fan Boy Review that is).

Dragon Ball Kai to be Released in May?

February 2nd, 2010

Rumors have been going around that FUNimation will release Dragon Ball “Z” Kai sometime in May. Wal-mart is now listing a release date for the DVD and Blu-ray of May 18 2010. So it would appear this has been in development with FUNimation long before they announced it. You can pre-order the first season from Wal-mart at a price of $42.48.

FUNimation Announces Dragon Ball Kai License

February 2nd, 2010

DBZKAI_logo_final-300x169 FUNimation Announces Dragon Ball Kai LicenseFUNimation had a huge announcement today. They officially said “yes” to Dragon Ball Kai in their blog. They have announced they got the license to work on Dragon Ball Kai. They have also decided to add the “Z” into the Dragon Ball Kai logo. But no details have surfaced yet on how they will release the episodes. I am personally hoping for a TV schedule. We should be hearing more on this subject sometime in the near future. We will keep everyone posted.

Daizex reports :

FUNimation finalized a new Dragon Ball license agreement for Dragon Ball Kai. The first episodes of that property will be released by FUNimation in the latter part of our upcoming fiscal year.

Look forward to Dragon Ball “Z” Kai fairly soon. Thanks FUNimation!

Dragonball Evolution Hits Early

January 31st, 2010

It would appear that Dragonball Evolution has hit the TV set a week early. Cinemax is now showing the film at various times today. So I think it is now safe to say that this film is no longer making any revenue. According to The Numbers, Dragonball brought in a total gross revenue of $62,880,241. With a domestic theater revenue of $9,362,785, international theater revenue of $48,865,675 and total domestic DVD sales of $4,651,781 (international sales is unknown at the moment). Please note that the domestic DVD sales could be much higher since it is only an estimate given during a certain period of time. Another factor that could mean sales are higher than the estimate is that the Blu-ray sales are not included.

Dragon Box Volume 2 Now Shipping

January 30th, 2010

dragonbox2 Dragon Box Volume 2 Now ShippingFor those lucky enough to pre-order this fantastic piece will now be receiving the second volume of the Dragon Box early. The normal release date for this volume is 02/16/2010. Right Stuff is still taking orders will a low price of only $35.99 (normally $59.98). Unfortunately I went through Amazon for the first volume and did not place a pre-order on the second. So, for the rest of us we have to wait a bit over two more weeks to obtain this. Since I do in fact own the first volume, I may be providing some media fairly soon. If anyone had the second volume pre-ordered and would like to show off what it came with, please do so in the comments.

On a side note, Amazon is now listing the first Dragon Box Volume with a set price of $31.99. Right now would be a great chance to pick that up if you have not done so already.

Layout Version 4.0

January 28th, 2010

Yes this is unrelated to Dragon Ball, but I felt it deserved its own post. The last few days I have been working behind the scenes on the layout you see before you. This is our 4th official layout for Dragonball Legends. I felt the dark toned colors are easier on the eye and it gives this layout a cleaner look. You can also now discuss in all our pages, I felt this was better than bringing back a forum. There are still some minor bugs here and there, but nothing major. If anyone finds an error or bug within the site, please inform us in the comments (and let us know what browser you are using as well). Anyways, welcome to version 4.0.
